Coulson Bayne and Marybeth Bayne, Isle of Palms, SC

Baby Girl

Baby Girl is a replica of a Bahamian Runabout built in the Abacos by the Albury Brothers.  The boat was started by Chris Mullen and friends, and then finished by Mark Bayne for his only daughter, Marybeth Bayne, in 2006.  Baby Girl has been a loyal guest at the boat show in her pink dress, often escorting the press for the in-the-water races.

When Marybeth became an adult, she and her brother, Coulson, joined in ownership.  After some very extensive restoration of Baby Girl, Coulson painted her sea foam green.  Together, the Bayne Sibs take care of her and enjoy her immensely even though Marybeth rallies for #bringbackthepink since the brother didn’t consult with THE baby girl about the paint color change 🙂

This year, Marybeth will be getting married the weekend after Boat Show!  She knew she wanted to get married in October but she made sure it wasn’t GTown weekend!!
