Ahoy boat exhibitors

Because of the Covid-19 virus the City of Georgetown is not issuing any permits for public events this year.  As a result, we are unable to hold our traditional Georgetown Wooden Boat Show (GWBS).

Over the past 30 years, GWBS has grown from a dozen exhibits and a half-day event to over 100 exhibits and a three-day event.  We have added a sponsor tent, children’s model boat building, commercial exhibitors, Friday night auction, competition boat building, cardboard boat building and more to the show.  All of this adds to the overall experience of the GWBS.

However, what people want to see, what brings people to Georgetown on the third Saturday of October- year after year- are YOUR beautiful wooden boats!  This year, we ask that you send us pictures and/or a short video describing your boat, your passion for the water, your memories and experiences at the boat show, etc.  We want to include these on our website and social media.  Your stories and pictures will keep the GWBS alive this year.

Many of you have been coming to the GWBS for years.  We will miss a reunion with our many long time friends this year and look forward to seeing you next year!

Let us know if you have any questions.
